Slingshot is a poverty-fighting center of influence that’s igniting a movement to revolutionize the way poverty is alleviated. To turn our mission into reality, we work with poverty-fighting organizations to study their effectiveness, identify opportunities to enhance their outcomes, and invest directly to amplify their high-impact programs and services.
Slingshot seeks individuals who have a personal interest in alleviating poverty and innovating new solutions. Slingshot is comprised of Insights, Impact, Operations, Activation, and Development teams.

Insights & Impact Teams
Slingshot is growing its Insights & Impact Teams. These teams conduct impact studies with poverty-fighting organizations and develop insights that enable more effective poverty-fighting efforts. Slingshot is adding roles to support its growing project-based work to activate people and organizations to incorporate our insights into their poverty-fighting efforts. These roles will work with Slingshot’s leadership team to help execute high-impact projects that address social challenges in Memphis and help philanthropists allocate their funding in the highest-impact ways.
