Hi friends. We were very pleased and humbled this week to have been mentioned in an article by local writer Wendi C. Thomas. The article is about the continuing struggle for economic justice and the ongoing legacy of Dr. King's efforts to ensure that all Americans have a seat at the table. Specifically, the article discusses Dr. King's time in Memphis almost 50 years ago, leading up to his assassination, and his support for striking Memphis sanitation workers. It's a great read, one that really ties the past directly into our present.
If you haven't already done so, please check out Ms. Thomas's MLK50 project, a fascinating series of articles that began in April of this year, and that focuses on economic and social justice. Thank you.
